Aug 4, 2013 4:00 PM in response to RLJMediaby Tom Wolsky,P2 is a recording medium. It's the card media gets recorded to. What format did you record?

Aug 4, 2013 4:48 PM in response to RLJMediaby Tom Wolsky,It probably doesn't matter. So whatever. But that information is ridiculous. Do you have any idea how many formats shoot 1080 24p? You can't even tell us what camera **** it to give us a hint? Framework? Codec? Audio format, seeing as how audio seems to be the problem? Audio sample rate? How you imported the media into the application.

I had mentioned the camera already.
While replying to James I Quote my statement to James Cude
"Hi James,
I imported the P2 from and HVX200 panasonic camera and also from a P2 store hard drive that stored P2 clips.
I opened up final cut pro 7 and clips are importe with compete audio while in final cut pro x the audio is cut in the first 10 sec of the clips."
I will provide more detail as I feel you are right and I should have put as much detail needed to solve this problem.
Camera: HVX200
Media: P2 Cards and P2 hardrive
Recording format: 1080 24p
Audio Format:? "Since FInaly cut pro does everything on its own and does not show what audio format it records is something you can tell me.?
REMINDER: This imports works fine with no problem in Final Cut pro 7 and I have not audio problems. Only the newest version of Final Cut pro x 10.0.9 seems to not work well with this simple import. It has worked %100 in 10.0.5/6 the past. Does not work in 10.0.8/9.
Import Method: I have imported using firewire 400 from the camera and from the P2 hard drive that uses USB 2.0 to transfer P2 images into final cut.
Both the camera and the card work %100 in final cut 7.0

-
Aug 5, 2013 4:06 AM in response to RLJMediaby Tom Wolsky,The audio format and sample rate are in the info inspector.

Aug 5, 2013 4:07 AM in response to RLJMediaby Tom Wolsky,Your clips aren't P2. Your clips are DVCPRO HD.

Aug 5, 2013 10:07 AM in response to Tom Wolskyby RLJMedia,Hi Tom
I import into FCP7 and FCPX seperately to figure out why the audio is being cut off in the new FCPX.
Inspector says
Codec:DVCPRO HD 1080i60, Linear PCM
Audio outputchannels: 1
Audio Sample rate: 48kHz
Audio configuration: 4 mono
Thanks

Aug 5, 2013 11:44 AM in response to RLJMediaby James Cude,Are these by any chance variable frame rate shots?
-
Aug 5, 2013 11:52 AM in response to James Cudeby RLJMedia,No variable frame rates. I had tested that in the past and know that does not work as well.
Thanks again.

Aug 5, 2013 4:38 PM in response to RLJMediaby Tom Wolsky,If you import in FCPX the files you import in FCP7, do the files work; or is it only files you import into FCPX?
