'Forget' a keyboard

I have a USB keyboard that doesnt work on my MacBook Pro, I tried it on another identical MacBook Pro and there it worked. I think I know how to make it install correctly but first I need to uninstall it so I can get the starting screen again.

How do you make the MacBook Pro 'forget' a Keyboard?

so with apple keyboards, the drivers are built in and the system doesn't "remember" specific USB keyboards (it does do this with paired bluetooth keyboards). So, if the keyboard is not recognized at all (not responding or not seen in system information), then try resetting your PRAM. If you are referring to the keyboard layout then those settings are located in System Preferences... > Keyboard > Input Sources. If that's not what you're looking for, could you clarify a bit more on what is happening?
