Q: using airport express to extend wifi

I am presently using a time capsule as a wireless router and an airport express to extend the wifi wirelessly.  Can I use a second airport express to extend the wifi even further?

Sorry, but no.  Apple only allows you to "extend" wirelessly one time....since the extender must connect directly to the main router.....in your case, your Time Capsule......not to another device that is already setup to extend the signal.

You can have additional AirPort Express devices to "extend", but they all must connect directly to the main router.  Kind of like a hub and spoke arrangement on a wheel.

The Time Capsule would be your "hub". Each extender would reside at the end of a separate "spoke". And....extenders need to be closer to the hub than they are to another extender.

Thanks for the useful explaination.  Since I cannot use a second airport express to get more distance, what other device can I use to get more wifi range.  I currently get approx 40-50' from my time capsule and would like to get 60-80'  wirelessly?
