You will have to take it to an Apple Store.
Take it to the Apple store with proof of ownership and they will unlock it.
just came from apple shop and they tell me that they cannot help me and even claim that apple doesnt know how to reverse the process..please help anyone.
They told me that it was a firmware password that was required and to shove the laptop into the bin coz nothing can be done, unless l remember the pin code ...
help ...help
If it was locked with Find My Mac, you were misinformed. The Apple store should be able to unlock it. From http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4006:
"Only Apple retail stores or Apple Authorized Service Providers can unlock computers protected by a firmware password, such as passwords set with Find My Mac.
If you cannot remember the firmware password for your computer, schedule a service appointment with either an Apple Retail Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider. If you plan to visit an Apple Retail store, make a reservation at the Genius Bar (only available in some countries)."
Sorry, but I do not believe you (unless you are leaving part of the story out) and only Apple can fix this. Take it to an Apple Store, with proof of ownership.
Well the other thing is l actually believe that the guys at the apple retailer shop dont really knw how its done..pliz assist me with some phones or ref: As to who can assist mi at any nearest apple shop in ZIMBABWE OR NEAREAR.
Thanks and pliz do assist mi
You can locate the nearest Apple Authorized Service Center in South Africa by clicking on "Service" here: https://locate.apple.com/za/en/ and entering your current location.
