Q: I'm having problems connecting to the iTunes store

Hello I've been unable to connect properly to the iTunes Store for about a week (OS 10.6.8, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, iTunes 11.0.4 (4)).  When I click on iTunes Store, I get a progress bar, but when the progress bar completes, I get a blank window with no toolbar.  I can kind of get there by pulling down the store menu to "View Account."  At that point, I get a toolbar (home, music, movies, tv shows, app store, books, podcast, iTunes U), but if I click on any of these items, the window is blank.  I can get to some content by scrolling down and clicking on "Features:  Browse."  However, this is very cludgy, and makes me feel like I am back in the days of Turbo Gopher.  Any hints?
