need to move library

I need to move my itunes library from my internal 2 TB drive to a external 4 TB drive (LaCie d2) that i just purchased. What i am thinking of is using carbon copy cloner to clone the 2 TB drive over to the 4 TB LaCie and then point itunes at the LaCie drive when i lanch itunes. Will this work or is there another way i should do this?

My end game is to purchase a mac mini and use the mini as an itunes server. I am holding out to see if the mini is updated in the next month or so. If the mini is not updated soon then i will purchase one now and then move the external LaCie over to the mini from my mac pro.
