Received request for password to sign into FaceTime (notification) out of nowhere. was someone trying to hack into my FaceTime?

I received request for my password to sign into FaceTime (notification) out of nowhere while I was surfing the web.. my ID was even on the screen so I know it wasn't a fake website pop up or something. Was someone trying to hack into my FaceTime?

Awhile ago, I swore my green facetime light was on when I wasn't using it, but it hasn't happened since.

no.

it sounds like your session for FaceTime just timed out. I encounter this a lot with iTunes, as I use iTunes Match. The program just wants to make sure you still are, who you say you are. In retrospect, its actually better for your privacy that it keeps checking, that way no unauthorized user is FaceTime'ing your family meme-bers!
