How do I get Logic Pro X to recognize my Yamaha keyboard?
I've attached them with an iConnect USB/MIDI (no drivers required, apparently), but the computer doesn't seem to "hear" the piano.
Thanks!
OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

First try a powered usb hub. Also confirm there are no available drivers online. Look for a 64 bit driver osx10.6 or later.
What Midi channel is your Midi keyboard, set to transmit on? If it isn't Midi Channel 1, set it to Channel 1 and then test again..
Also, what do you mean by "hear'? If you press a key on your keyboard, does Logic Pro's display show any midi activity ? Look in the top right hand corner of the "LED" display and when you press a single key on your keyboard and release it you should see a small white 'dot' appear and then disappear.
If you see that dot then LPX is seeing the midi activity coming from your keyboard... and so again, check it is trnsmitting on Channel 1... and if it is, then you need to read the LPX User manual because it means you are making a mistake on how to use LPX itself... Trying adding a software Instrument track.. add a Software instrument to that track... and play/record notes via your keybaord. Then go to the event editor and see what has been recorded. Ypu might be recording midi info but you cannot hear it... in which case LPX isn't configured correctly in terms of its CoreAudio or general Audio settings..
If you don 't see a dot then your keyboard isn't working correctly with your Mac... and you need to check the manual that came with your keyboard to correct the problem. You will probably need to also open up the Midi/Audio setup/configuration app that came with OS X to see whats going on, in there..
