does anyone know how to change a battery for ipod touches, 4th generation? The apple website is pretty unhelpful, they won't let me email them? thanks guys

My ipod touch's battery won't last anymore that 2hours (ish) without a re-charge. When i want to watch a film on it with my pico projector, it will quickly need charging after a quarter of the film. this is annoying. apple's UK website has been next to useless to me, i went into support and it runs a health check etc. it then says that i need to pay for a new power adapter, but this isn't the problem. You're my last hope guys!

thanks in advance

If you want it done by Apple, the Battery Replacement section here:

http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=servicefaq&geo=United_Kingdom&product=ipo d

is pretty straightforward. If you're certain about a hardware problem, you can just jump directly to the page where you can arrange to send the iPod in for service:

https://expresslane.apple.com/ServiceOptionAction.action

You can also arrange an exchange by making an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple Store, if you have one in your area.

Regards.
