why do i suddenly have double of every contact on my iphone 4 contact list from my outlook?

Are you using iCloud to backup your contacts as well?
No I have icloud back up shut off because I did turn it on but then all 3 of our devices got all jumbled up. Every device got every text and the calendar showed items 3 times. Big pain so i turned it off on all device settings. except find my iphone is on.
also this duplicating of contacts only happened on one iphone of our two and only after a few weeks after shutting off icloud back up. both iphones sync to the same contact address book in outlook.
What version of Outlook are you using?
I am using outlook 2007
