Should I get a Lifeproof case for my iphone 4S?

HI! I am thinking of buying second hand an iphone 4S lifeproof case, second generation of course. I just wanted feeback on this case, as I see there is a hate/love relationship over the internet with this product. Is it good for everyday use? And whats with the touchscreen. Thanks!
