Where can I find old Macintosh SE games?

I was strolling through a Salvation Army the other day and out of the corner of my eye, something caught my attention. A Macintosh SE. It was listed at $25 and the store was having a 50% store wide sale. So for the low price of only $12.50, I was the proud owned of a Mac SE. It was missing the keyboard and mouse, but I already ordered a set via eBay and it is on it's way.

I would love to play some old games on this thing, but since it has a 800k floppy drive, it is difficult to download games using modern computers. I therefore am looking for a place to purchase games for my new, err...old Mac. Any ideas? Either that, or is there an easy way to download games and transfer them to it?

Any advice would be great.

Hi,

Yes, the 800K drive means that another pre-1998 Macintosh computer would be needed as an intermediary for floppy transfers.

Is it an SE with an internal hard drive (there were versions with only floppy drives as well)? Which operating system?

A null-modem transfer between a more modern computer and an SE is per se possible, but it would require access to a suitable terminal emulation program with file transfer capabilities (communications program) on the SE's hard disk or on a floppy (800K). See the discussion below for some details about null-modem connections:

Old freeware and shareware programs can be found (for example) here:

Here is a link to a site that has software on both 800k and 1.4MB floppies. They can also make a disk from softwareyou can provide.
