Mountain Lion can't run on an iBook G4. The newest operating system an iBook G4 can take is Mac OS X 10.5.8, if it has a DVD drive and at least 867 Mhz. If it is running 10.4.11 or earlier (10.4.10 and 10.4.9 are earlier), note that Classic will no longer run once you upgrade to 10.5 or later.
