How can I view alerts on iPhone 5? Alert visible but truncated in Notification center. How can I expand and read it?

Notifications in iOS don't expand on the notofications pulldown. If you want to reply, you have to tap the notification to open email.
When I tap or double tap or swipe that alert nothing happens. It doesn't take me anywhere to see the full alert... Any other thoughts? Very strange that its not more intuitive... Or perhaps I'm just not that intuitive haha!
Well when you tap notifcation they're supposed to take you to the app they come from. So nothing happens when you tap yours?
The Alert is a new feature of cell phones in the US, installed by government mandate. There is no app for it. You must view it (or the part that is visible) on the screen the first time it appears.
i believe the ability to expand the alert will be coming in IOS 7
I had the same question. It took a little bit of doing but the message is also located in the notification center. For iOS 7.+ that is located by pulling the drop down menu from the top of your screen.
Scroll down from the top of the screen and you can see the alerts. I have iPhone 5s.
The iPhone you are using stores Notifications or Settings. Any notification can be viewed
