Q: macintosh garden compatibility

does software from macintosh garden only work for emulators? i have a imac running 8.6 and i want software to transfer to it via flash drive but idk if macgardens abandonware only works on emulators

    The way I read their info is that it is Mac OS software that will run  natively on compatible older Macs with OS 9 or earlier. The emulation I think refers to programs like SheepShaver which allows older stuff to run on  OS X and  Intel macs.

    Yes, you can get the software on your computer. I do it all the time. You download the program from macintoshgarden, put it on a usb or cd/dvd, then transfer it to the computer and unstuff it with Stuffit Expander.
