Migration Asst from old MBA to new MBA...duplicate install - what to do?

Ok, so I'm not the most patient person in the world. I picked up my new MBA and asked the Genius how to transfer everything over. He recommended the migration assistant from my most recent time machine back-up. (2 hrs old) I followed the instructions and when Mig Asst completed none of my information was there other than the programs so....I started the migration assistant a 2nd time (exact same steps) and went to bed. When I woke up the next morning I had two user profiles and 400GB of my harddrive taken up. Old Machine was 224MB total....

So how do I delete the duplicate bits and keep the needed ones?

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4), MBA 11" Loaded (1.7G / 8G / 512G)
