    you can but it would have to be Windows only on SSD, otherwise you can't use GPT.

     

    UEFI booting requires GPT/GUID.

     

    It is possible to install Windows 8. That is not an issue.

     

    Windows 8: Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro (Boot Camp 5 only).

    Windows 7: Home Premium, Professional, or Ultimate (Boot Camp 4 or 5).
