Q: Boot camp 5 - which version of windows should I buy?

I am so confused. I'm moving from my PC (which is totally crashed) to my new MacBook Pro. I need to be able to run Windows from time to time so I am trying to use Boot Camp. I understand that I have to buy a full version of Windows, but which version should I buy. I've been perfectly happy with Windows 7, but it LOOKS like it costs twice as much as Windows 8 System Builder. Is System Builder a full version of Windows 8, at only $89 from Amazon or $119 from Microsoft? Full version of Windows 7 is almost $200.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

When I installed Win7/64-bit Home Premium via Boot Camp on my iMac I bought the System Builders' Edition. It was under US$100 and installed perfectly. Unless you are affiliated with an educational institution, I think that's about as cheap as you can go and still have something that works properly.
