Question

MacBook Pro won't boot up

Hey guys, as you can see my macbook pro cant bootup.

Here are some things that you need to know:

When i turn it on it gets stuck at the apple logo and spinning wheel screen.

When i turn it on it makes a lot of noise and gets very hot very quickly.

If i push down even slightly on the keyboard i can here the fan rattling.

It was working fine until i finished playing a game to the point that my laptop was so hot it froze and i had to shut down.

It's the 2011 model macbook pro running OSX something.

Ive tried resetting the SMC but it didnt work.

use the following article to try and resolve your issue:

this should help. also if the fan keeps running hot even after you did the SMC reset you may want to have the mac checked to be sure the fan is working properly to keep the inner components of your mac cooled.

most apple stores will do a diagnostic on the mac free of charge to let you know if any issues!

Thanks for that helpful article. At the moment im running an Extended AHD so ill have to try those things later. However i have tried resetting the PRAM and SMC also but it didn't help. If this means anything on the short AHD i had problem:

4M0T/4/40000002: Exhaust- 2133

One of your fan motors is defective. That is why the SMC will not work. You WILL have to take your MBP to have a new fan installed at the nearest repair facility.

4M0T/4/40000002: Exhaust- 2133 is the error for a defective fan.

You can order a fan online and put one in yourself. Extrememly easy.
