Code Sign error: A valid provisioning profile matching the...

I have recently been interested in developing iOS applications, however there are some issues I am facing.

I tried running my app on my iPad but am shown with this error message...

Code Sign error: A valid provisioning profile matching the application's identifier 'VEX4MPL3.example" could not be found.

Although, it works perfectly on my iOS simulator.

In the Bundle Identifier field under Summary->iOS Application Target, I have inputted "VEX4MPL3.example".

As you will have noticed, I have not revealed my real Bundle ID to you (just in case).

I have one provisioning profile attached to my iPad. The app Identifier shows (modified): VEX4MPL3.*

The status says its a valid profile. iPad iOS 5.1.1.

What am I doing wrong? :S

Thank you!

Alan:

If it runs in the simulator, then it sounds like a "paperwork" issue with the app id.

When you have XCODE open, and get the error message, does it offer to "fix" it for you?

If not, you can go through the ios dev center and generate certificates, app id's, and provisioning profiles manually, so that you can port the app to your device.
