Itunes match stuck at sending information to apple

Anyone else having issues tonight? Once a week the iTunes match seems to auto run the info gathering and send to apple. Normally it works fine although can be a but slow to get a response from apple sometimes. Tonight it just won't go past 'sending information to apple'. Each time I start iTunes it gathers the info to try again. Anyone else getting similar? My library has not changed in weeks so it can't be anything like that. I guess server issues at apples end?

Cheers

Wayne

Just showing up to turn off email notifications!

Like many others service started working for me again around the 11th and has been working fine all this week. Those still posting here I am guessing have unrelated problems. Service was actually down from August 7th-August 11th for those trying to add new music not purchased via the iTunes Store.

I think it's unfortunate that Apple tech support led people to take dramatic actions when it was their service that was down. Furthermore, I think some people in this thread acted irresponsibly by making user side suggestions when it was clear if they had stopped and read the thread and thought it through that it was a service problem.

Ah well, thanks to those that created this thread and chimed in with their service status. It was of very valuable help to me.

Actually mine still isn't 100% and sometimes hangs while sending but I've cancelled my renewal anyway. Even music I'd bought wasn't showing up but after finally downloading on a "good day" I don't use Match anymore. This outage was the final straw and I refuse to pay for something this unreliable. Glad yours is a-ok though! Shame Apple never really acknowledged anything.

I got mine to work. Here's what I did. Make sure deauthorize and iTunes is closed before you start. To deauthorize, in the text menu on top, click Store then click deauthorize this computer. It'll ask for username and pass. Once thats done...

1: Go to the Finder and select Go menu and Go To Folder

2: Now paste or type the following

~/Library/Preferences

3: Press the "go" and a folder the preferences folder will come up.

4. In the search area, type itunes

5. make sure you click the preferences search option (default is "this mac")

User uploaded file

6. Select all and drag to trash. (the screen shot is after I got it working, there was a bunch more files than whats showing when I did it, just fyi)

7. Launch iTunes. It'll be like the first time you've run it, but you wont lose any music or anything. Agree to terms and conditions. Do not sign in yet.

8. Go to text menu on top and click Store then Authorize this Computer. It'll ask for login info then you'll see an authorized confirmation.

9. Text menu Store and Turn on iTunes Match.

It did its thing and was up and working.

Hope that helps!

Does not work for me. I've logged out of all iTunes sign-ins (Store, Computer, Match) four times today, I deleted all the plists, deleted all the songs that had the problem cloud icon, and I'm still stuck at "Waiting for Apple to deliver your iTunes Match results..." forever.

Everything was fine for the last few weeks...I really don't know what happened.

I don't know if this is the same thing (and I'm a first time poster on this site so apologies if not) but I'm in southern UK and I have been trying to update my iTunes Match account all evening. It does the checking with the Apple severs okay, but when it's supposed to upload my album artwork etc (and I know there's a load I've added several albums this evening) it just seems to skip past it.

I've reset my broadband router, just in case but still nothing.

I deleted the plist files; that did nothing.

I complied with KB article HT1451 and removed the itl and html files. This took two hours, including resampling all my 16,000 songs for gapless segues and volume levels. Near the end of two hours, even though it was obvious it was going to take at least another two hours, I noticed that I had lost ALL my start and end times for every single single, as well as genre designations that I modified.

I aborted, replaced the original itl and html files, turned off genius, and ran match. It's on the first step, "Gathering Information about your iTunes library...", and looks like just this first step of Part 1 will take an hour or two.

Very frustrating. And this is just one of my Macs!?!

I let my computer run all night and then re-started it this morning. Match is not working. It says it is communicating with Match, but nothing happens. And yesterday it reomved all of the CDs that were added after the last time Match worked from my iTunes. They wers till on my computer, but I had to manually re-add them to iTunes this morning. It worked fine the day before yesterday. WTH?! I'm a new Apple user. I just bought a new 64GB iPad 4th gen and a iPhone 5s, both with AppleCare+ and then paid for iTunes Match. Now I can't get the music to work right because match is acting stupid. I am very annoyed and would really like the $1500 I've spent in the last two weeks back!!!

My MBP Match (full) update is compelte!

1. Gathering data from library = 1.5 hours

2. Processing = 5 mins

3. Sending data from Cloud back to MBP = 2 mins

4. Completion of steps #2 and #3 = 10 secs

5. Cloud icon all diagonal striping update if you know what I mean = 45 seconds

TL;DR: Match servers are VERY sluggish since iTunes 11.1 upgrade and massive sale and deployment of iPhone 5Ss. Expect 10x–30x amount of time for "Store, Update Match" (semi-full) process.

Seems little point in trying to do anything, I guess as with when this was happening a couple of weeks ago, it's a problem on their end.

Having said that......if I leave it to do it's own thing it just goes on forever. What's working for me at the moment is the old sign out, sign back in again thing. That works pretty much instantly.

Bloody Apple.
