Q: Itunes match stuck at sending information to apple

Anyone else having issues tonight? Once a week the iTunes match seems to auto run the info gathering and send to apple. Normally it works fine although can be a but slow to get a response from apple sometimes. Tonight it just won't go past 'sending information to apple'. Each time I start iTunes it gathers the info to try again. Anyone else getting similar? My library has not changed in weeks so it can't be anything like that. I guess server issues at apples end?

    This is just getting stupid now - Apple can market new phones, tablets etc but apparantley they cant or "can't be bothered" to fix this -  Does ANYONE know how to fix this? At the very least they should remove the product so as not to con anyone else into buying it

    I signed up a couple of days ago. Sounded like something I could use.

    I so regret that I haven't read all the complaints.

    I tried everything and nothing works.

     

    Maybe 10% of all my music actually gets in the cloud.

     

    They have my €25 and that's it probably.

    You can add me to the list. Tried everything to get  iMatch to fully sync with a few new songs added to my collection. Let iMatch sit for 2 days straight trying to match/upload 4 songs. That is ridiculous especially since it is a pay service which does not seem to be working at the moment. However, wonder if it has to do with the release of iMatch services in other regions of the world.

     

    As of this morning, kept stop match, quitting iTunes, restarting match service. have done this about 15 times, and at least get the service to progress to 'Step 2' in match process. However, not optimistic about this because yesterday got to this step, and it scanned my library and would stop 2-3 songs before completing Step 2 and hang, and never finish. hope the service sorts itself out over the next few days. I've been happy with the service offering but, agree, it has been operating in a degraded capacity the last few days/weeks.

    In the same boat. Match is stuck on initial set-up. Has anyone had any success requesting a refund as this product/service clearly does not do what it says it will?

    Problem I have for several times, but now I'm not gonna fix it anymore. I think I quit iTunes Match.

    Same here. Haven't had any luck with iMatch syncing over the last few days. Suspect there is some type of degraded performance issue, and maybe, it is tied to the other regions in the world now have access to iMatch service. And, maybe, everyone else is using all the troubleshooting steps turn off/on, stop/start, logoff/login iTunes account, etc.. maybe, that is making things worse. Surprise Apple IT Operations hasn't started working to resolve the issue, the forums are light up like a Christmas tree with regards to issues with the iMatch service.

    Same problem in Spain.

    After turn off iTunes Match, reboot and turn it on, it pass over step 1 very quickly and start Step 2. Now, it is stuck on step 2 . At the beginning on step 2, the data traffic was quite high (seen on Activity Monitor), but after some minutes it's almost plain and it still stuck on this step.

     

    Couldn't add any new album in the last weeks.

     

    Quite dissapointed with this service.

    This is a bit of a joke. I cant get past step 2. Have tried stopping/starting, Signing out etc and get stuck on the same number song everytime. Is there a way to work out what that song is so I can remove it and hopefully at least complete the initial set up? Maybe be time to ditch Apple all together....

    Guys, rather than keep asking on how to fix this, or indeed wasting your time trying to fix it, please raise it with Apple.  There is NO fix that we can do...this is Apple's fault but our problem! :O(

    Indeed. I've submitted a ticket and called them. First level support said: "there's no problem with the service" - I directed them to this thread and he had no answers. They've promised a call back

    They really are a load of..... I have called them as have many others and made them aware of this problem so I would not hold your breath.  I think there worf CLUELESS springs to mind.

    I have raised it again but had to chose a call back option which I hate!  I just want to raise it with them, not get into a discussion about how there can not possibly be a fault with Apple and that all my computers, oh and everyone elses here must be at fault!!  A disgraceful service by a disgraceful company!

    Itunes match is a fantastic servive when it works. All our low quality music gets upgraded to 356KBPS if it can be matched & you can carry your entire music collection on your iphone & ipad. The problem is it just does not work correctly right now. I to have spoken to support many times with senior advisors & just a few days ago was actually transferred to the Itunes store. The person I spoke to said he also has itunes match & has the same problem. He assured me they are trying to correct the problem & there should be a resoultion with the next itunes update. I have heard this so many times but every time itunes is updated there is no fix. Maybe we will get lucky with the next update.
