Q: Itunes match stuck at sending information to apple

Anyone else having issues tonight? Once a week the iTunes match seems to auto run the info gathering and send to apple. Normally it works fine although can be a but slow to get a response from apple sometimes. Tonight it just won't go past 'sending information to apple'. Each time I start iTunes it gathers the info to try again. Anyone else getting similar? My library has not changed in weeks so it can't be anything like that. I guess server issues at apples end?

Cheers

Wayne

I have called apple support 5 times on this issue already & they claim they have no information that it is not working each time. I just called again & told them to submit a trouble ticket to  the engineering dept. Hope it helps but i doubt it.

Have the same problems here and I'm in NY.  I don't think iTunes match has been working for me for at least a coupl of days or more now.

Anyone with with apple support should call & tell them to submit trouble tickets. the more trouble tickets submitted will probably be the best way to get this resolved as they will than see we are all having problems

Yes, the problem is almost certainly on Apple's end.

Please don't post your "solution" unless you're now able  to  connect to iTunes Match consistently over an appreciable period of time (i.e, not just once or twice over the course of a few minutes). This has been a multi-day problem, and many of us have been able to connect intermittently (a few times per day for me), so the well-intentioned false positives that keep flooding this thread will only serve to confuse and mislead newcomers.

Don't bother messing with settings on your machine.

Notify Apple and wait it out.

Ditto.  Same problem here.  Tried the whole logout/logout and stop/start iCloud.  No joy.

Yeah, didn't work for me either so this is definitely on Apple's end.

Clearing the cache only worked once.  Consistent result in UK now reads:

Contacting Apple direct is the only route out of this, have registered a case.

Details for contacting support are as follows: http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57

Please confirm support case logged & post back Apple solution.

Ditto having same problem yesterday and today. Today, it OCCASIONALLY will work, but most of the time, no luck. Really frustrating in that I've been trying every kind of combination of deleting preference files, iTunes database files, sign-in/outs for account and or Match... basically, can't get my clouded stuff back.

Just got it to get everything back, but, not holding my breath.

A big thank you for this thread. Same everything here - I'm located in NYC and was about to get drastic with my troubleshooting so thanks and cheers for letting me know it's on their end.

Will subscribe to this thread and wait it out! :-)

Seem to recall I had a similar issue a while back, after one of the major version upgrades of iTunes, and the fix was something easy to do, and something to maybe try here.

Go into the iTunes store, access your account information. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen, where you will see the flag of the country your iTunes account is tied to. Click on the flag. When presented the list of regions/countries, reselect your country. You'll eventurally get logged out of iTunes, so, re-log back in. Then, see what happens.

UPDATE: Nope. My one successful Match update that worked, got wiped out and failed again.

Signing in/out of iTunes Match, clearing caches, etc. does not help. If you think it's worked for you, more than likely it's a coincidence that your service started working again. Signing out of iTunes Match will only make you lose your library and good luck getting it back until it starts working again. Apple seems oblivious to this problem which is no surprise having been a customer since the early 90's.
