Q: Itunes match stuck at sending information to apple

Anyone else having issues tonight? Once a week the iTunes match seems to auto run the info gathering and send to apple. Normally it works fine although can be a but slow to get a response from apple sometimes. Tonight it just won't go past 'sending information to apple'. Each time I start iTunes it gathers the info to try again. Anyone else getting similar? My library has not changed in weeks so it can't be anything like that. I guess server issues at apples end?

Cheers

Wayne

I'm glad this isn't just me, thought I was going nuts.  I spent an hour on the phone yesterday with Apple Support.  I've tried multiple different internet connections, including WiFi and ethernet connections.  Repaired disk permissions.  Support told me the next step was to try reinstalling my operating systems, which sounded bananas.  Match worked once for me yesterday after I signed out and in.  Ever since, it continues to stick on Step 1.  I knew this had to be the service itself and not just me.

Same problem in Belgium since morning. iTunes Match does not seem to work. It is stuck at Sending information to Apple / Gathering information about the iTunes library.

I have signed out and signed in again. It did not help

I have the same problem  and i'm in italy. Since yesterday,(when i subscribed) iTunes Match has worked only 5 Times. I've read all the posts out there and i tried all fixes that have been posted( log-off, restart itunes ecc) and it only works one or two times after them. So it doesn't constantly work! So don't waste your time, we have to wait apple to fix this!

I have talked to Apple Support twice now, the first time they suggested creating a new library then the second time they said that it was caused due to bandwidth issues so I need to create a new library and only upload a few songs at a time...  I email them back and said that their suggestions were BS and that bandwidth nor creating a new library has anything to do with the issues that hundreds, possibly more, are having... I told the lady to speak with her Supervisor and get things rolling to fix the issue... I have yet to get a reply back.

Apple continues to show the service as working perfectly, see http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/

Since this is the case they will continue to expect client software and configuration.

It is essential now for all to open support cases by following the route in the link above.

I would love to open a support ticket, but I'm not sure how.  I follow the link above to the Status page, click "contact support" at the bottom, then I'm lost. I've tried clicking various iTunes/iCloud topics, but I'm always routed to a page where I have to enter a serial number and pay $19.99 for a call-back.

Despite paying for the iTunes Match service, I'm expected to have an Apple Care Plan also?

Same here (UK). So glad I'vfe found this thread though. I was going insane trying to troubleshoot what the issue was thinking it was my end. I uninstalled antivirus, itunes...everything! At least now I know it's aserver issue I can just ride it out. Apple need to up their game when this is a service we are all paying for.

Once you raise the support call and get a Case Id, it is important that you provide your Apple Id such that you can follow case progress in your support area at: https://supportprofile.apple.com/.

We should not stop until the status here (http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/) for iTunes Match is other than Green and an acknowledgement of fault is provided.
