Trackpad will not work at all in Windows 7 Bootcamp

Hi All,

I have recently installed Windows 7 using Bootcamp on my MBP; however, I do not have trackpad functionality. At first it would move, but it would not click or select anything when I actually clicked on the trackpad. Then I went to device manager and tried updating all of the drivers by first choosing the driver, then restarting, then going back and allowing the computer to search for the updated driver. All that it did was remove complete use of the trackpad. Now it doesnt move at all.

It seems clear to me that I did something wrong by messing around with the drivers, but I have no clue what I did wrong. I have been using an external mouse to do anything, and that is fine, but I do not know how to get the trackpad to work.

Also, FYI, I did install all of the windows support software that was downloaded before I installed windows using bootcamp.

If anyone can help with this, I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks.

Cheers.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2009), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

If you downloaded and installed the Windows support software in accordance with the instructions, you now have a diamond shaped icon in the Windows task bar. Clicking this icon opens the Bootcamp control panel where all your trackpad settings can be configured.
