Q: I downloaded a movie but cannot access it when I am off line

I bought a kids movie to entertain a grandchild on a long car journey. I could not access the movie when I was off line. Any idea why?

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.4

How are you trying to watch it ? If it's been fully downloaded to the iPad's Videos app then you should be able to watch in Videos without needing to be online - or are you trying to watch it via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app (which does need an internet connection) ?

Yes, I was trying to view it using iTunes. What iPad video viewer do you recommend?

There is a built-in Videos app - your iTunes downloaded films and tv shows (and those synced from your computer's iTunes) should automatically appear in it, and you shouldn't need to be online to watch anything in it
