ipod touch 4th gen will sync but new songs added to itunes do not.

Hello,

My ipod touch (4th gen) will sync with itunes but new albums I have added do not. The new albums are in itunes and can be played but itunes will not

find the 'Tracks to sync' This is not the first time this has happend and in the end I had to sync my full library,itunes would not let me tick the album

to sync it in the Summery-Music section.The only option there was the 'Full Sync' and as i have over 400 albums on my ipod,it took many hours.

I use windows 7 and my PC is running well-just a few days ago my ipod would sync new music without trouble any and I have made no changes.

Any help would be much appreciated.

iPod touch, Windows 7, Sync problem.

What is the source and format of the ones that do not sync?

The file is in 'Music' and the file type is MPEG-4 Audio (.m4a) I have played the albums with Windows Media Player and of course, itunes.

Where did the song come from?

Here are the detail formats supported by the iPod. There are many flavors of m4a and you did not provide enoughinfo for me to determine if yours are compatible

All the new songs added are from four, brand new CD albums. I have now deleted the songs/albums from my PC

I also rebooted my PC and ipod.I have tried again with an album that has been in itunes and on my ipod in

the pass but to no avail.

Did you import them by:

iTunes 11 for Windows: Import songs from CDs

Have you tried syncing them using the manual method (you did not say what method you tried)

If I go from 'Devices' to Summary and then Music, I only get one option-Sync Music,There is a box on this page but the options within it are grayed out. If I tick the Sync Music option I get this message-

'Are you sure you want to remove existing music,films,ect, from this ipod and sync with this itunes library?

'Music synced to (my ipods name) from other itunes libraries will be removed and items will be synced from this itunes library' I have only ever used itunes on this PC and the 'Manually manage music and videos' is ticked but

that must be a default setting as I haven't ticked it.
