importing blackberry memo to iphone

Our company is switching from a Blackberry mobile device to an iPhone 5 mobile device. I am much more familiar with iPhone than Blackberry and have been tasked to find a solution to a question many of our blackberry users have.

How do I transfer my Blackberry memos to the new iPhone?

Is there a way???

I use a corporate blackberry that usually syncs email, calendar etc but it did not sync the notes when I transferred from the Blackberry Bold to the iphone. You have to sync the blackberry notes to the blackberry destop manager and then sync iphone. Follow the steps below that worked for me.

Blackberry Steps

  1. Memos
  2. Options
  3. Uncheck the box to that says "wireless synchronization"
  4. save

Computer steps

  1. Use Blackberry Desktop Software (I use the MAC version, I am not sure if this works on PCs)
  2. Connect blackberry to computer after launching desktop manager
    • Device will appear in Destop Software Manager window
    • Enter the password for the blackberry if it is password if it has one. (this may be tricky because of the alphanumeric keypad on the blackberry. Make sure your password correspond with real numbers and letters on a real keyboard)
  3. Select 2 Way Sync Under Select Notes
  4. Sync

Iphone Steps

  1. Settings
  2. icloud
  3. Turn off NOTES

Itunes Steps

  1. Launch itunes
  2. Connect iphone to computer
  3. Select device in itunes window
  4. Select Info tab
  5. Under OTHER - check the box that says sync notes
  6. Sync
