"iTunes Unexpectedly Quits" cause of error code (3585)

The plugin "Quartz Composer Visualizer" failed to load because it has the wrong CPU architecture for this version of iTunes. (3585)

this is error is causing iTunes to "CRASH' any suggestion to fix my problem will be appericated thanks.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)

Quartz Composer Visualizer only can run in 32bit mode. You have two options:


If you really want to use Quartz Compositions as iTunes Visualizer, you have to set iTUnes to run in 32 bit mode; select iTunes in the Applications folder and use the command "File > Get Info" to show the info panel. In the "General" brick enable "Open in 32 bit mode".

Or, if you do not want to continue legacy software, remove the the Quartz Composer plug-in from the System Library. Open the folder

/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/
and remove the Quartz Composer Visualizer.bundle
