iCal not recognizing username or password.

Every time I try to open my iCal app, a pop up appears that says: The server did not recognize your user name or password. After pressing "OK" the application quits before I can fix the problem. Does anyone know how to remedy this problem?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
