Speaker works but not getting some sounds

Ipad4 speaker works for music and vid, sound is turned up, but i get no other noises, keyboard clicks, new mail notification noise, sent mail swoosh. All volume is turned up, those sound options are enabled. No sound from games, volume indicator says max.

Youtube, ipad music & vids and embeded kickstarter vids have audio podcasts , siri, have audio.

Instagram vids, dice with friends, camera shutter, email, keyboard clicks have no sound. No games have audio.

I dbl checked my sound settings, everything is enabled, using side switch sound is turned up.

Any suggestions?

This has been a recent proble.

iPad, iOS 6.1.3, 64gb wifi only

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.

Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. The function that isn't on the side switch is set via the taskbar instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085

Solved my problem. Never noticed that switch. Thank you for your quick reply.
