People can't hear me well on calls?

Hi, when I call people they say they can't hear me well and it's muffled unless I have it on speaker, also people can't hear me on FaceTime unless I talk right into the microphone(practically shouting)? My phone isn't old and I haven't had it long,is there any suggestions? I've been reading other support communities and they suggest taking the back off and putting a small bit of cardboard there, I don't want to do this unless its the only option and is absolutely needed. Everything else works fine, the sound when recording videos, voice memos& Siri. I know I've already asked this question but no-one replied and I'm desperate!

Thanks for the question. I understand you are having issues with others describing a muffled sound while talking with you. The following article addresses these symptoms, and may provide a resolution:

the problem appears to be getting abit better,

my friend came round today and i got her to call my phone so we could test it properly from different rooms, and she said she could hear me, but it was just abit quiet.she has iphone 5, would that make a differnce? if i rung someone without a iphone would it be different? then i spoke into the bottom of my iphone and she said it was much clearer. on facetime, my other friend said it was clearer when i spoke to the top of my iphone. is that correct?
