Aug 8, 2013 5:05 PM in response to EfiFinkelsteinby pvonk,The reason they disappear right after being restored is that a new sync is made with icloud and since the docs on the device are older than the time they must have been deleted on some device or directly on icloud, hence the newest "state", namely there being no files, is reset (thus the files are again deleted). [Hope you follow this]
If you dutifully backup your mac to Time Machine, your could restore the local copy of your files from TM (they are in the
~/Library/Mobile Documents/com-apple-pages folder
and be aware that the Library folder is now hidden in OSX 10.8) - BUT BE SURE TO TURN OFF WIFI OR ETHERNET FIRST, OTHERWISE THEY WILL DISAPPEAR AGAIN.
Once restored, move the doc files out of the com-apple-pages folder into a safe place. Then reconnect to the internet.
