You can export a Pages document to Word .doc or .rtf format via the File > Export or Share > Word... or Share > RTF... menu choices. Pages cannot export in the 2007 or later Word .docx format. For that, you can post-process your recently saved .doc or .rtf file by opening in TextEdit and saving as .docx.
