Can't watch rented movie

Hello! I rented a hd movie from iTunes through my iPhone 4, expecting to watch it on my MacBook. When I log into my account through my MacBook it states that I have a download to make, but when I click "download" it does nothing. It seems like I can watch it on my iPhone, but I was really looking forward to a watching it on the big screen... Can anybody help me?

You cannot.

As the FAQ's for movie rentals state.

If you rent on an ipod/ipad/iphone, then you cannnot transfer it to any other device.
