How do i fix my Ipod Touch 4G partly white screen?

My Ipod Touch 4G screen became partly white and faded after taking it out of a bag. It is still usable but is hard to use as the screen is hard partly white. I've tried resetting it multiple times along with going in DFU mode. Also it detet is when I plug it into a computer or charger. If it helps it has a one large crack from the top of the screen to the bottom, except that was there almost 8 months before it broke.

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 6.1.3

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem. Likely a bood screen

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

Apple - iPod Repair price

A third-party place like the following maybe less. Google for more.

iPhone Repair, Service & Parts: iPod Touch, iPad, MacBook Pro Screens

Replace the screen yourself if you are up to it

iPod Touch Repair – iFixit
