what is the next ios that ipod touch 4g can update to?

Since iOS 7 is not compatible with the 4G, the next updates , if there are any, would just be bug fixes.

Detergent1999, you answer is very misleading/incomplete since there are 16, 32 and 64 GB 4G iPod, 32 and 64 GB 3G iPods, and 16 GB 1G and 2G iPods. Ips 7 is on compatible with the 5G iPods (those come 16, 32 and 64 Gm), iPhone 4 and later and, iPad 2 and later

I know I'm talking about the iPod touch "5th GENERATION". And I know iPhones and iPads are going to receive the update. It's not misleading. It's correct I just forgot to put 5th generation.

iOS 6.1.3 is the latest version available for a fourth-generation iPod touch. Whether there will be any further updates only Apple knows, but if there are they will most likely be bug fixes only.

I am very disappointed with apple. They should not make updates that don't support slightly older devices such as the 4th generation iPod touch just so people will buy their new products because they are going to start to make a lot of people mad including me
