Is there a way to start slideshow in middle and have music synched correctly?

I am creating a slideshow with a customized playlist for the accompanying music. I want to synch certain slides to the passages in particular songs. This involves rearranging slides at times to get it right.

Is there a way to make changes, then start the slideshow say 10 slides earlier and have the music correctly synched to where it would be if I started at the beginning?

It is a 15 minutes slideshow and by the time I get to the fine-tuning of the last quarter, I end up playing 12 minutes of slideshow every time I want to see the results of my latest changes.

Not with iPhoto. You can do that in iMovie and save as a Quicktime movie file.

If you've been a long time Mac user and have access to iMovie 6 HD I suggest you use it. It is the best application I've found for creating slideshows and fixing audio tracks to specific slides.

To do the same with the latest version of iMovie you'll have to ask in the iMovie forum. I don't use it so can't help with it.

There are other slideshow apps that might be able to add audio more precisely. Do a search at MacUpdate.com for slideshow and see what you find.
