My ipod is the 3rd g and it have to be turned off to charge i cant connect to itunes as it doesnt connect while open ,please I need to solve this problem , any ideas ?

- Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
- Try another charging source
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
I did , i tried another charger and another power source , and there is no apple store in my country ( egypt ) but thanks for trying to help
My ipod wont charge while switched on , how can i solve this problem ?
