I have installed this update (OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.4) three times already. Each time my computer restarts, and each time the same update appears, apparently not installed on my mac. Has anyone else been having this problem? Does this update actually do anything? How can I get it to install? Thanks!

try using the manual update link that follows:

should resolve the issue.
also go into finder in the updates folder in the mac HD library and empty all items out of there before installing this update
Check 'About this Mac' under the menu to see what OS version is installed.
If it is not 10.8.4, use the combo updater in iheartapple1970's post.
If it is 10.8.4, try hiding the update.
Update not actually doing anything/installing?
