Var mobile running on personal device

My iPad 4 is running var mobile. Is this used in a work setting to customize devices for employees? My iPad is not associated with an employer and accesses my private iTunes account? Is this unusual? I also purchased a Mac mini three months ago and it is now running windows. Could this be caused by broadband provider Comcast?
