remove bing from Google Chrome

I have been trying to remove bing from Google Chrome on my Macbook. Lots of other people have the same problem. I tried uninstalling Chrome, checking which was the search engine I had chosen - and these did not get rid of bing.

I didn't find any of the answers worked, but I found a solution. Here it is:

- Go to Chrome - Preferences

- Select Manage Search Engines

- Delete bing from the list.

This worked for me! Free at last from the viscious clutches of the parasite Bing!

This is a place nobody seems to notice. In Chome Settings - On Start Up

If you have Chrome as your browser: (Other browsers may be similar)

1. Open the "Customize and Control Google Chrome" tab at the far right of the address window (three little bars)

2. Click on Settings

3. Click: On Start Up

4. Click on:

5. Remove Bing - and add any page you want. Such as www.google.com
