unable to download itunes 11

My itunes download stopped recognizing my D drive to save my music to a music cd. I followed the instructions on uninstalling itunes and 5 other associated software components. I've paused my anti-virus software. I still cannot download the latest version of Itunes 11. Help!😠. My pc has Windows 7 professional.
