trsf photos from Facebook to iPhoto

You can not directly do that - you download to a desktop folder (contact Facebook support for instructions on how to use FB) and then import from that folder into iPhoto

You right click on the little pencil Icon on your photo in FB.

Then click DOWNLOAD from the little menu.

The photo will apprear in your Download folder on your imac.

You can move it to your Photo folder.

Then open Iphoto.

In the FIle drop down menu, click on Import library

Your Photo folder will then pop up.

Select the photo to be imported to iphoto, click import and hey presto!

But that would take forever and I have know idea how to select an entire album on Facebook to download to my imac. Also how to, if imported indivitually, you then organise them in seperate albums on Iphoto.

But then I found that if you go to preferences on Iphot you can sync it with Facebook and then they all appear in their entire albums on Iphoto.

You can move it to your Photo folder.

Not sure what you are calling "your iPHoto Folder" - But be warned - NEVER make any changes of any sort to the structure or content of the iPhoto library - this absolutely includes adding photos to it - yuo can only add photos to iPhoto by importing - and you can not import from the iPhoto library

The pictures folder is a good place to put pictures waiting to be imported

But then I found that if you go to preferences on Iphoto you can sync it with Facebook and then they all appear in their entire albums on Iphoto.

I seldom use FB but I believe tha tthis only works on albums that were initially uploaded form iPhoto - test it and see

Hi,

My mistake! "Photo Folder" Should read 'Picture Folder" which is further down the list after downloads.

I have been downloading to download folder and then putting into the Picture Folder and then importing to Iphoto from there VIA the Iphoto (FILE drop down menu) and then selecting (Import library).

It seems to have worked very well and then once they are in album folders on Iphoto I have deleted them from FB, then whilst in Facebook under shared in Iphoto, iphoto asks me to save as the album has been deleted from FB, it then appears in my EVENTS and is already saved as a album in my albums section of Iphoto.

I hope that makes things clearer?
