Verizon iPhone 5 A1429 on other networks
I've read a bunch of answers on this question but I'm still confused.
I have a Verizon iPhone 5 model number A1429.
Can I use the GSM side with my Straight Talk or H20 Mobile SIM cards?
Thanks.

ST is CDMA, and will only work with phones purchased from them per the terms of their contract. You will have to call H2O and ask them.
But if you have the SIM cards already why don't you just try them?
Because I didn't want to pay the money to activate the SIM cards if they're not going to work.
Plus my ST SIM card is a mini not Nano, so I don't want to cut it down if it won't work anyway.
ST isn't always CDMA. They sell phones that are GSM which is what my SIM card is....GSM.
The Verizon iPhone 5 is unlocked. It should work on any GSM network. It may or may not get 4G LTE, depending on the carrier. But, it should get 3G without any problem.
However, StraightTalk is an odd carrier. They use both CDMA and GSM. The iPhone 5 they are currently selling only works on their CDMA 3G and doesn't use the SIM slot at all. You should contact them, explain what kind of phone it is and ask if it will work.
