Neither of my Apple Remotes will work on my MacBook Pro now.

After downloading Mountain Lion and installing, my apple remote will not work. I got a new one, but neither of them work. I have a late 2009 MacBook Pro with an IR port. I've looked through all the system prefs: privacy, pairing, enabling, and disabling with no luck. I even downloaded troubleshooters like "Remote Control Diagnostics" and "Candelair" which say its fine and should work. I've replaced the batteries in both. (white and silver) but I'm not getting any responce in general, or any visual responce when I try to pair them.

Any Ideas? 2 Days ago I reinstalled Mountain Lion, just in case.

Any help would be much appretiated.
