Q: Can I use two payment methods when paying for an app ?

I don't have enough money from a gift card to pay for an app can I use the rest of my gift card then use some if my credit card to pay for it ?

Yes, your account's balance will be used first, and any remainder will be taken from your credit card (unless you are buying the item as a gift for some else, in which case the whole amount will be taken from your credit card).

 

How puchases are billed : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5582

When making purchases, content credits are used first, followed by Gift Certificate, iTunes Card, or Allowance Account credits; your credit card or PayPal account is then charged for any remaining balance.
