OSX Ui glitching. Desktop items dissapered, dock icons flicker black. Unable to read dropdown menus - Appreciate the help.

Graphics ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB

Does your HD have plenty of free space? (15%?)
Does this happen in all your apps?
Did you install something that could change your graphics interface?
It looks like it could very be a graphics card problem.
I have a lot of free space (around 45% free),
Some apps have it worse that others. It seems to be a bigger problem with apps that utilise OS X's native interface. (Dialog boxes appear totally black.)
I haven't installed anything recently. (Last thing I installed was a video game)
The issues started occurring when I was on photoshop. I don't know if that could have been the problem. I have allways used photoshop on this mac.

The video game -- How long after you installed it, did the graphics problem start?
If it was a considerable time -- are you close to an Apple Store? If so, I would take it in to them.
