I have an iPhone 3GS from the UK. It is currently locked to Orange but my contract has ended and I have now moved to the US. Is there any way for me to unlock it so I can use it here?

Take it back to Orange and ask them to unlock
That is the problem, I am not in the right country to go to the company to have them unlock it for me. I am looking for an alternative solution.
TTBOMK there is no alternative solution beyond selling that one and buying another.
