I get Error: Your request produced an error [newNullresponse] when I tap the categories or top 25 icons in the App Store. Help?

Whenever I open the App Store and tap the "Top 25" or "Categories" icons, I get and error that says, "your request produced an error [newNullResponse]. The features, search and updates work just fine. I have tried signing in and out and restarting my phone, I have also tried restoring my phone, still doesn't work. I am very frustrated and would like some help! This has been going on for about 4 days. I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1.3.

Ok I just fixed this issue. I too had the same problem for days now. Out o no where too. I thought I'd share the answer since Ive been googling it for days and found nothing.

First you need to create another App Store iTunes account with a different country. I'm Canadian and created an American one. When I sign out then in under the new account, it says that my account only works in USA and is hanging the store. Once it did that my top 25 changed back to top apps and no more error. I've since switched back to my Canadian account. You can create another account free. Do it through iTunes on your computer or Mac. Change the country at the bottom of the App Store. Try and download a Free app. That way you don't need a credit card. Voila!

Worked for me. I know it will for you.

Good luck. Still no idea why I needed to do this. Just thought I'd try anything.

I'm sorry for all the typos. Couldn't see that we'll on my iPhone.

I meant changing the store not hanging the store. Changing the store seems to reset the App Store settings.

There might be a way to change the store without creating a new account. I've down it by accident before. All I know is creating a new account works. Then of course go back to your other account. If you still can't get it to work, then wait till Sept 10th ;)

You're right. I just closed it too. If I use my other iTunes account I can close it with the error going away.

For now ill switch back but just not close the App Store. Yeah it's a pain in the a$$. I'll keep trying different scenarios and update is thread once it's totally fix.

I will not let this beat me.

@Zflash

I had the same issue and I followed your comment about changing the store which worked until I closed the app. I then noticed I didn't have a lot of ram on my phone available. I downloaded an app called iCleaner and ran that on my phone. Upon completion I went back to the app store and it is now working fine. I can only surmise that iCleaner somehow deleted a temporary file that was preventing the app store from working correctly or there was an issue of not enough free memory available on my phone. Hopefully this can help all of you with this app store predicament.I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1
